Think cleaning is just aesthetics?
It’s safe to say that an assumption made by a lot of people is that a clean workplace is just shiny surfaces. Wrong. It’s far more. To us, a clean workplace equals a smart and sustainable strategy that benefits our clients and the planet. By switching to eco-friendly products, and using more efficient cleaning methods, clients can cut waste, create healthier environments and reduce the amount of resources used. Sustainable cleaning is a practical, cost-saving approach to the wider environment around us and to our clients pockets.
So exactly how does sustainable cleaning achieve this? Let’s explain
Firstly, it cuts resource use as sustainable cleaning methods use less water, less energy and fewer consumables. As an example, the NTRL range that we switched to in 2025 comes in 100% PCR recycled containers and fully recyclable packaging. We also refill sprayer bottles to further reduce our waste. It’s also manufactured with natural ingredients which are free from harsh chemicals, making them safer for the user and the environment. Being based on plant-based biological processes that have been in play for millions of years, reduces the overall environmental footprint of the product and enhances performance.
Next up is that sustainable cleaning reduces chemical pollution, as sustainably produced cleaning products don’t contain VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) which can leech into the waterways and into the air. Eco-friendly = plant-based and biodegradable and far les compliance issues for businesses. A win win for sure.
Save money, Breathe Easy
Who’s up for less operational costs? Eco products are often far more concentrated so you use less her clean, and also have to restock less often. Some products can also be used for multiple tasks, which reduces the amount of products that you need and the amount of space that you need to store them. Sustainable cleaning products are also more gentle on the surfaces that they’re used on. Less chemical damage = a longer lifespan = fewer replacements needed. We’re going to tack on improving employee heath here, as with fewer chemicals floating in the air there should be fewer respiratory issues and fewer allergies. With anti-bacterial properties on a plant-based cleaning products label, they’re great for high-touch areas such as desks, doorhandles and light switches.
Sustainable is the new standard
Sustainable cleaning is no longer a nice‑to‑have, it’s something teams and stakeholders increasingly expect. It helps businesses meet environmental standards, strengthen their reputation, and swerve unnecessary fines. So really, what’s there to lose? Other than those old chemical‑heavy products and non‑microfibre cloths you’ve been meaning to break up with.
